TJ Lavin Released From Hospital, 'Will Ride Again' According to Mom

T.J. Lavin is back home from the hospital after a terrible crash in a BMX event forced him to be placed in a medically induced coma. And though the tragic event might have caused others to never ride again, Lavin's mother thinks her son will eventually get back on a bike.

"I've no doubt he will ride again," she said, "but, oh yeah, he's done riding competitively. The doctor said he can't afford any more head injuries -- if he was a football player, he'd be down."

It was reported that the Dew Tour event in which Lavin got injured would have been his final competitive ride anyway, as he was preparing to retire afterward.
