Oklahoma opens Big 12 play against Missouri

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) � The Oklahoma men's basketball team will open Big 12 Conference play Jan. 4 against Missouri and finish March 3 against Texas A&M.

Officials said Thursday that 15 of the Sooners' 18 conference games will be televised on national or regional television networks, including six on ESPN channels. The Sooners' Bedlam games with Oklahoma State on Jan. 9 and Feb. 22 will both be televised.

Oklahoma also will take on perennial powerhouse Kansas on Jan. 7 and Feb. 1 and meet Red River rival Texas on Feb. 14 and Feb. 29.

In November, the Sooners will open play in the eight-team 76 Classic tournament against first-round opponent Washington State on Thanksgiving Day.

Oklahoma's 2011 season begins Nov. 1 with an exhibition game against NCAA Division II Northeastern State.
