Carmelo Anthony has been the subject of off-the-court intrigue, with New York tabloids reporting his rift with ex-Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni may have led to D'Antoni's sudden resignation.
But Melo's also facing drama at home with wife La La Anthony publicly wondering on national TV if he's cheating on her with an attractive, young assistant named Asani.
During the season 2 premiere of La La's Full Court Life on VH1 Monday night, viewers saw Anthony's friends second-guessing her wisdom in hiring a young, single woman to work as a personal assistant for her NBA superstar husband.
"You don't hire a cute, sexy girl to work for your man," one friend warns.
La La Anthony finally takes Asani out to lunch to clear the air.
"I just want to know: Are you messing with my man?," she asks.
"Not with Melo," Asani replies. She adds cheating with the Knicks star would be "gross" since she thinks of him as "brother." The two laugh -- awkwardly.
