REDON, France (AP) -- American cyclist Tyler Farrar won a Tour de France stage for the first time Monday, capturing the third leg in a mass sprint as Thor Hushovd kept the yellow jersey.
The 123-mile flat route from Olonne-sur-Mer to Redon in western Brittany favored sprinters like Hushovd. The Norwegian world champion took the leader's shirt a day earlier after the team time trial.
