JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Pro Bowl tight end Marcedes Lewis has ended his holdout and reported to Jacksonville's training camp.
Lewis passed his physical Monday morning and attended a walkthrough with teammates. But he won't take part in any full-contact drills until he has a new contract, a deal he worked out with coach Jack Del Rio.
The Jaguars placed the franchise tag on Lewis, who caught 58 passes for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2010. Lewis signed a one-year tender worth $7.28 million this season, but both sides have been negotiating a long-term deal.
Even though he was under contract, Lewis skipped the first five days of camp to deal with personal affairs in California. Del Rio indicated he would fine Lewis, but has not said for sure or how much.
