NDSU receiver-returner dismissed from team

FARGO, N.D. (AP) Suspended North Dakota State University wide receiver and kick returner Justin Howard has been dismissed from the team.

Head coach Craig Bohl has said only that Howard violated team rules. The Forum newspaper has reported that Howard was charged in February with solicitation of minors and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident last November. He has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charges.

Howard, from West Bend, Wis., would have been a junior in the fall. He was the team's third-leading receiver last year with 24 receptions for 280 yards and one touchdown. He also was the team's primary kickoff returner, with 20 returns for an average of 22.7 yards.
