UPDATE 10:55 a.m.:PFT reports that a CBA could've been finalized "a week or two ago," but the owners are still "playing games with some of the numbers" and holding up the arrival of an armistice.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and (decertified) NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith are in the midst of a whirlwind day of meetings only partially dedicated to the resolution of the lockout.
ISSUES: What's on the agenda
The duo spent the morning speaking to 155 rookies at The Business of Football: Rookie Edition, a union-designed seminar in Florida that is replacing the league's rookie symposium (one of the lockout's victims) this year.
Goodell, who was invited to attend the seminar by Smith, said: "I would just say that it was a great opportunity for us to be able to sit with the rookies. They obviously had lots of questions. We answered the questions as best we could, but you all know that we're under restrictions.
"We took a break because we felt it was important to be down here with the players. We both have great respect for the players and this is an important few days."
The main question is when will a new collective bargaining agreement be struck to end the labor impasse? Goodell, Smith and their staffs are expected to hammer away at that thorny little problem in Minnesota for the rest of today and through Friday.
Smith said they are "continuing to work hard," and that their efforts are "about getting a fair deal done and getting back to football as soon as possible."
