Filed under: TimberwolvesMinnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations David Kahn was fined $50,000 for inappropriate comments about forward Michael Beasley, the NBA announced Friday.
The league also fined the Timberwolves' organization $50,000.
In an interview with ESPN Radio in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Kahn said that Beasley had "smoked too much marijuana" while with the Miami Heat, who drafted the forward second overall in 2008, but has since quit.
FanHouse's Tom Ziller covered Kahn's comments in detail Thursday, pointing out that Article XXXIII, Section 3(f) of the league's collective bargaining agreement states that team employees are prohibited from disclosing "information regarding the use, possession, or distribution of a Prohibited Substance by a player."New England
