Free agent defensive tackle Amobi Okoye has signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source told ESPN.com.
Okoye registered four sacks for the Bears in 2011, serving primarily as a backup. He was drafted in the first-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2007.
Several teams expressed interest, according to the report, including the Bears. Okoye is the second defensive tackle to leave the team in the offseason. Veteran nose tackle Anthony Adams was released prior to free agency in a cost-cutting move.
