Vick appears in new PSA against animal cruelty

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has recorded a public service announcement for The Humane Society, advocating against animal cruelty.

Vick, 31, was sentenced to 21 months in prison in 2007 after pleading guilty to felony charges stemming from an interstate dogfighting ring in which he was involved. Vick was accused of financing the operation, known as ?Bad Newz Kennels,? and directly participating in dog executions.

After serving his time in prison, Vick was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2010 after he finished second in the league?s Most Valuable Player voting as the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
