Maddon answers Nats heckler with an autograph

Joe Maddon has gotten an earful from Washington fans since Tampa Bay reliever Joel Peralta was caught with pine tar on his glove earlier this week.

One exceptionally rambunctious heckler, Robin Ficker, elicited a personal response from the Rays manager.

Nationals fan Robin Ficker, a D.C. legend, berated Maddon throughout Thursday's game according to another fan sitting nearby.

"Check for pine tar!" Ficker yelled, adding, "See Maddon, it can be done without pine tar!"

Finally, Maddon delivered a response in the form of an autographed baseball -- smeared with pine tar.

Ficker took pictures of the caption Maddon wrote, which read "Stick up for those you care about!"
