Brett Favre Completes One Pass, Takes Big Hit in Preseason Debut

Filed under: Vikings, NFL QuarterbacksBrett Favre's 2010 preseason debut was over almost before it began. Favre played just one series in Minnesota's 15-10 exhibition loss at San Francisco on Sunday night, completing his only pass attempt -- a 13-yard swing pass to Adrian Peterson -- and enduring a punishing sack from 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis.

"I didn't fumble a snap, completed a pass," Favre said. "That's a win for me."

Favre got the start in his first game back with the Vikings, less than a week after he rejoined the team. It took more than seven minutes for Minnesota's offense to actually get on the field, though, with San Francisco taking the opening kickoff and driving 70 yards for a touchdown.

When Favre finally did leave the sideline, he was greeted with a hearty chorus of boos from the San Francisco fans.
