Filed under: Redskins, NFL Rumors, NFL Training CampSo you thought the rift between Albert Haynesworth and Redskins' head coach Mike Shanahan was a thing of the past? Think again. Haynesworth, who missed multiple days of practice this week after feeling ill, sat on the sideline for the first half of Washington's 23-3 preseason loss to Baltimore on Saturday. When he finally entered the game after halftime, Haynesworth found himself playing with the Redskins' second- and third-string units.
''He wasn't going to play with the first or second team for obvious reasons,'' Shanahan said. ''He's going to have to earn his way to play with that group.''
That didn't sit well with the big defensive lineman, who ranted to reporters after the game, until a member of the Redskins' PR staff reportedly stepped in and stopped the interview.
"Third quarter ... I'm a ninth-year pro, I don't think I should have been out there in the third quarter," Haynesworth said.
