The next NFL season is over three months away, but the Indianapolis Colts are already feeling the difference between the Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck eras ? at least on the business end. NBC?s ProFootballTalk is reporting that the Colts are struggling to sell as many season tickets as they did with Manning as the quarterback, resulting in a 3,000 ticket shortfall from last year.

The article also reports that the Colts have begun to hire ticket sales interns for the first time in 10 years to assist with making up the difference.

The Colts struggled in 2011-2012 without Manning at quarterback ? their 2-14 record was the franchise?s worst in 20 years, and brought to an end a streak of nine straight winning seasons. During that streak, with Manning at quarterback, the Colts won the AFC South seven times and Super Bowl XLI in 2006.
