Fantasy Football Reality Check: Arian Foster's Huge Day Could Spell Trouble

Filed under: NFL Sleepers, NFL Waiver Wire, NFL Value Machine

Thirty-three carries, 231 yards, three TDs. Perhaps the greatest Week 1 fantasy running back performance ever (don't ask me to look it up, I'm too lazy).

Arian Foster went bonkers against the Colts on Sunday, setting a franchise rushing record in the process. Meanwhile, Steve Slaton saw the orb just six times. Any question who the Texans featured back is? Great. We're glad that issue's resolved.

Of course, Foster carrying the load isn't groundbreaking news; Texans head coach Gary Kubiak spelled it out for us all preseason long (kudos to you, Kubiak, for walking the walk). Foster's workload on Sunday (34 touches) was the unexpected. It also raises some serious red flags.

No, I'm not talking about Foster's health; I'm talking about the potential impact it might have on Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson.
