Filed under: Packers, NFC North, NFL InjuriesSo much for Ryan Grant's injury not being serious.
Although Grant, the Packers' starting running back, said after Sunday's game that his ankle injury was "not too major," the doctors disagree. On Tuesday the Packers put Grant on Injured Reserve, ending his season. Grant, who also suffered a leg injury, will require surgery on his ankle.
That's a huge loss for the Packers. Grant has had more than 1,200 yards in each of the last two seasons and is the team's most important offensive player after quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
