Filed under: CelticsShaquille O'Neal has denied any wrongdoing associated with a lawsuit filed by former employee Shawn Darling, according to the Boston Herald. A statement released by O'Neal's representatives called Darling an ex-con who was just trying to frame the basketball star in a money-hungry scheme.
According to O'Neal's representatives, Darling had previously tried to extort the Celtics center for $12 million by threatening to expose his personal communications and e-mails.
"Mr. O'Neal has made it crystal clear that he will never respond to these outrageous tactics," Shaq's representatives said in a statement. "As a result, Darling filed a lawsuit which seeks only to embarrass, harass and extract money from Mr. O'Neal."
