Brett Favre finally appears to be retiring for good, but his final season was a mess on and off the field.After having perhaps the best personal season of his career in 2009, leading the Vikings to the NFC championship game, everything fell apart in 2010. Favre was ineffective on the field, his record streak of starts came to an end and the Vikings fired Brad Childress in the middle of a non-playoff season. He also dealt with the Jenn Sterger investigation and has recently been sued by two former Jets massage therapists for sexual harassment.
All of this has led to a debate as to whether Favre's final year, and the waffling over retirement over the last few years, has tarnished his legacy and erased all of the goodwill he had built up with football fans over the years.
