Carson Palmer will reportedly ask for a trade out of Cincinnati, with the threat of retirement if his wish isn't granted. Chad Ochocinco is very interested in how this gets sorted out.Ochocinco took to his Twitter account after the report broke, anticipating a different reaction to Palmer's reported request than the one he received when he begged out of town in 2008.
"Carson Palmer demands a trade? Last person demanded a trade in Cincy was crucified by the media n had to win the fans back, how will this go?"
He then tweeted ESPN's Skip Bayless, saying, "Skip my quarterback wants a trade and I'm still under the bus my head coach threw me under? What shall thou do?"
After the 2007 season ended, Ochocinco went on a very public crusade to get traded by the Bengals, appealing to the fans of numerous teams to sway those front offices into making a deal for the boisterous wideout. In the end, Ochocinco went nowhere, and had to repair his standing with the team and its fans.
While Palmer's future in Cincinnati is uncertain, Ochocinco's appears to be non-existent. After a tumultuous stint with the Bengals, Ochocinco and Marvin Lewis have traded barbs to close the season with a divorce seemingly inevitable.
