Eric Musselman to Be Named Coach of NBA D-League's Reno Bighorns

Filed under: Kings, Warriors, NBA D-League, FanHouse ExclusiveThis Thursday, the NBA Development League's Reno Bighorns "will make a major announcement at a 10:30 a.m. press gathering," according to the press release they sent Monday to announce their schedule for the upcoming season.

According to sources with knowledge of the situation, the press conference will be used to announce Eric Musselman, the former NBA head coach who compiled 108-138 record over three seasons, as the next head coach of the Bighorns.

The 45-year-old Musselman will become the second coach in league history with NBA head coaching experience following Sam Vincent, who coached the Anaheim Arsenal after a season at the helm of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Musselman most recently coached the 2011 adidas Nations team to a championship Monday. Earlier this summer, he also coached the Dominican Republic's National Team 2010 Centrobasket Championships in the team's quest to qualify for the 2011 FIBA Americas tournament. Prior to that, he was a commentator for the D-League's nationally televised games on VERSUS last season and college basketball on Comcast Sports California as well as an NBA analyst on FOX Sports Radio.Ron Artest Braves Marlins Yankees
