USA Network Looking to Bring Back WWE Tough Enough

Filed under: Pro WrestlingIt was back at the beginning of the decade when the WWE decided to try its hand in reality television with the "Tough Enough" show.

Now it looks like the show is about to make a return.

Deadline Hollywood is reporting that the USA Network is close to ordering "Tough Enough" in an effort to make a big push in reality programming.

The show originally aired for three seasons on MTV from 2001-03 before being canceled. It lasted one more season as part of "SmackDown" on UPN before it ended.

"Tough Enough" featured participants -- both men and women -- going through wrestling training in hopes of winning a WWE contract. Each had to learn how to take bumps, do moves and also learn to be a character including how to cut a promo.

Among the people that took part in the show are current WWE superstars John Morrison and The Miz as well as announced Josh Mathews.

The belief is that the show would air at 11:00 p.m. ET on Monday nights, immediately after WWE "Raw" on USA.
