Once again, Duke is atop the AP Top 25 poll. The Blue Devils succeeded in a tough week, taking down No. 7 Michigan State and last year's national runner-up, Butler. Thus, they received every No. 1 vote in the nation. With none of last week's top-5 teams losing a game, the entire group -- Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Kansas and Kansas State -- stayed in the same order as well.
The highest riser of the week was Georgetown, as the Hoyas used a victory over Missouri to propel themselves seven spots to No. 9. Missouri fell six spots to No. 15. But the biggest fallers of the week were Kentucky and Minnesota. The Wildcats lost at North Carolina and fell from No. 10 to No. 17. The Golden Gophers were short-handed, but still lost to Virginia at home and fell from No. 15 to No. 22.
No. 6 Connecticut and No. 7 Michigan State traded spots from last weez, as the Spartans lost -- but hung with -- No. 1 Duke in Cameron. Syracuse (No. 8) and Baylor (No. 10) fill out the remainder of the top 10.
Other teams that rose in the rankings this week include: No. 11 Tennessee, No. 13 Memphis, No. 14 San Diego State, No. 16 Illinois, No. 18 BYU, No. 19 Purdue, No. 20 UNLV, No. 21 Washington, No. 23 Notre Dame and No. 24 Louisville.
Florida fell out of the rankings while Louisville makes its first appearance of the season. Every other team in the Top 25 was also in it last week.
