Knicks' Fourth-Quarter Defense Holds Off Bulls, 103-95

The New York Knicks (18-12) staved off Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls (18-10) 103-95 at Madison Square Garden Saturday afternoon.

The Knicks led most of the second half and maintained a steady lead throughout the fourth quarter, outscoring the Bulls, 18-12, in the period. The Knicks also held the Bulls to two baskets in the first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter and did not allow a field goal after the game was tied for eight minutes during a fourth-quarter stretch.

The Knicks, who continue their much-improved play since last season, were led by Raymond Felton, who poured in 20 points and dished out 12 assists. Amar'e Stoudemire chipped in 20 points and pulled down 10 boards of his own.

Both teams shot the ball particularly well, but the difference was that Knicks, the highest scoring team in the NBA, had all five starters scoring in double figures.

The Knicks sported their green uniforms for Christmas.

The Bulls were led by Rose, who cashed in with 26 on the day to go along with seven rebounds and eight assists.
