DENVER -- LeBron James could miss his first game for Miami on Thursday night at Denver because of a sprained left ankle.But Nuggets coach George Karl isn't too torn up about that.
"If it would help us win, I would probably say, 'No, I would not be disappointed,''' Karl after Thursday morning's shootaround about the possibility of James not playing.
James was hurt on a drive to the basket midway through the fourth quarter of the Heat's 111-105 loss at the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. He hobbled and winced after the injury but didn't end up coming out of the game.
"The doctor told me it's day to day so I'll see how I feel (Thursday)," James told reporters after Wednesday's game. "I don't have to be a hero in the regular season if I'm not close to 100 percent."
