On "The T.Ocho Show," Owens' program with Chad Ochocinco, Owens added to the controversy surrounding Donovan McNabb's surprising benching last Sunday against Detroit by recalling the most famous controversy between the two of them. Referencing the explanation from Mike Shanahan that McNabb's "cardiovascular endurance" wasn't quite good enough to run the team's two-minute drill, Owens said:
"Well, I don't really want to start anything, but I did play in the Super Bowl and there were rumors where he couldn't get our two-minute offense going at the end of the game. I'm just saying."
