Arthur Moats Doesn't Want to Be Known for Snapping Brett Favre's Streak

Brett Favre's streak of 297 consecutive regular season starts ended Monday night, as the quarterback was inactive with a shoulder injury.

The final number of Favre's streak is obviously notable, but almost as notable is who ended it -- Arthur Moats, the Buffalo Bills' rookie linebacker. Moats nailed Favre from behind early in Buffalo's Week 13 matchup with the Vikings, driving the quarterback's shoulder into the ground.

Moats, for his part, doesn't want to be known as the guy who ended Favre's streak. Before it was official that Favre wouldn't play Monday, Moats talked to ESPN.

"If it happens, people will know my name," he said. "That's not the way I want to get my name out there, for hurting somebody."
