DENVER -- When it comes to Carmelo Anthony, New York forward Amar'e Stoudemire says, "I'm not a recruiter.''Then again, he's already doing a pretty good job of getting the word out he'd love the Denver Nuggets star forward to join the Knicks at least by next season.
"I love Carmelo, man,'' Stoudemire said after shootaround Tuesday in preparation for the evening game against the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. "He's a good friend of mine. So, obviously, any time you team up with great friends of yours, it'd be a lot of fun. But, again, we both have our individual situations with our particular teams and we have to focus in on that. So we can't really determine what the near future holds. Any time time you can team up with a good friend, that would be great.''
