Over the past few years, Kurt Angle has seemed open to one day returning to the WWE despite the contentious parting he had with the company in 2006.But the TNA wrestler is now saying that isn't the case and he will never return to the WWE.
Angle recently posted on his Twitter page, "To all my loyal fans, many of u ask if I am going to go back to WWE. My answer is 'no.' My loyalty lies with Dixie (Carter) and TNA. Never been happier."
"I know a lot of u would like me to (go back to WWE), but Dixie Carter has taken care of me. I need that kind of support, so I hope u continue to watch me in TNA."
Angle, though, did praise Vince McMahon, a man who he definitely has some differences with over the years.
"I had fun with WWE and Vince McMahon, but that was my past. It is behind me. They gave me the opportunity, and I'm grateful but TNA is my home," he said
Mind you, this is the wrestling business so anything is possible. Guys always say they will retire, only to wrestle for another five years. So, it's not crazy to think that Angle is just saying this to show some public loyalty to his current employer.
Angle recently signed a one-year extension with TNA Wrestling and would like to wind down his career at almost 42 with a beaten-up body. Still, you can't argue that he continues to be one of the best in-ring workers anywhere.
